NEW! High school workshop now available! Agrifloral Industry Curriculum-alignment: Grade 11 Agriculture This interactive presentation introduces students to the agrifloral (or floriculture) industry. After the initial introduction, students brainstorm the environmental and social impact of global industrial flower production and contrast this to local small-scale flower farms. Through guided discussions, land management strategies including concepts relating to permaculture - such as low/no tillage, green manure, terracing - and other sustainability issues are explored. The presentation is currently prepared for a 1 hour 30 minute class length, though can be modified to fit 1 hour - 2 hour class.
